This collaboration allows us to implement a triple objective: inclusive, economic and ecological and. In particular, in 2019, this project enabled the reuse of 70,000 Carrefour home delivery bags.

Social innovation is at the heart of Ares project. This is why APRES was created in 2017 to go even further in supporting people in situations of exclusion and helping people in detention. We looked for partners who share our values and are enthusiastic about the idea of performing services with this public. We are very pleased with this partnership with Petrel, which has made it possible to accompany 89 people to the world of work in 2019 and thus help reduce the risk of recidivism.

Petrel is helping to integrate the Loop service into Carrefour’s activities. We offer the group a « Zero Waste as a Service » offer. We oversee the reverse logistics, the deposit refund, customer support and inclusive management of the bags.

To develop this reuse project, we start from Carrefour’s existing processes, with the aim of creating an ecologically and economically viable project.

Petrel plays a key role in the integration of the Loop project within our activities. The teams have a detailed knowledge of retail operations and the constraints that can weigh on them. Interacting with all trades, from supply managers to material handlers, they are able to circularize all business processes, including the most rigid at the beginning.

Petrel worked on the design of a reusable delivery bag adapted to the needs of Quitoque. In order to develop a packaging that also meets the expectations of their end customers, we interviewed them directly.

We carried out Life Cycle Analyses to select the most interesting packaging from an environmental point of view. Like Quitoque, embark on a journey towards zero waste delivery!

In order to reduce the quantity of cardboard used for our deliveries, we have called on Petrel, which offers customised zero waste solutions. Petrel put our customers’ experience at the heart of this project: our new reusable delivery bag directly meets their expectations. In this way, we build long-term customer loyalty while reducing our environmental impact.

Clément Rossigneux, director of operations at Quitoque

In 2019, Valrhona launched the ComeBac project with the aim of rethinking their packaging in a circular logic.

Petrel supported Valrhona in the design of a « 100% reuse » offer to eliminate the single-use packaging that clutters their customers’ premises. This offer is interesting regarding the environment and the perception of the brand by Valrhona’s customers.

The PETREL team assisted us in structuring our reusable packaging project. Our exchanges were fruitful, the remarks and advice were always well targeted. The expertise and skills developed by this team are absolutely essential to accompany companies in their transition to the circular economy.

Clarisse Chevret, innovation manager at Valrhona
